Develop and execute company-wide purchasing strategies, lead the procurement team, and set departmental goals and KPIs.
Supplier and vendor management:
Identify, evaluate, and build relationships with new and existing suppliers. Manage contracts and ensure optimal supplier performance.
Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure beneficial terms and achieve cost savings.
Cost and inventory management: Manage purchasing budgets, ensure cost-effective procurement, and monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
Compliance and analysis: Ensure all purchasing activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Conduct market research and analyze data to make informed decisions.
Collaboration: Work with other departments to understand their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
