Job Description

• Design and develop press tools, dies, welding fixtures, relation gauges, and special purpose machines (SPMs) using CAD software.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings and models based on client specifications and project requirements.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and project management teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
• Conduct design reviews and feasibility studies to identify potential issues and optimize tool designs.
• Generate bills of materials (BOMs) and technical documentation to support manufacturing processes.
• Perform simulations and stress analysis to validate tool designs and ensure they meet performance criteria.
• Work closely with the machining and batch production teams to oversee the fabrication and assembly of designed tools and fixtures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance during the manufacturing and production phases.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality guidelines in all design activities.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in tool design and manufacturing technologies to continually enhance design processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool Design, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Press Tool Design Engineer or in a similar role within the tool room industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) for creating 2D and 3D designs.
• Strong understanding of press tool design principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
