Course Content

Course Description

This course introduces you to the Revit Architecture software platform for Building Information Modeling (BIM) that supports the design, drawings and schedules required for a building project.
Using drawing tools, editing elements, levels and grids, you will learn to create full 3D architectural project models and set them up in working drawings. Most of the course is focused on design development tools - building the 3D model with walls, windows, doors, floors, roofs, stairs, creating reflected ceiling plans and furniture plans. The course concludes with adding views and annotation to the sheets to create a set of construction documents.

Course objectives

  • Understand the concept and workflow of Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  •  Use design principles, techniques and Revit drawing tools to create 3D architectural project models
  •  Set up sheets and views to create construction documents
  •  Employ Revit tools to enable work-sharing and project team collaboration
  •  Use site and structural design tools for space planning, massing, visualization and rendering to create large-scale building projects

Roles in industry

Knowledge of BIM and Revit technologies will help you create a rewarding career in architecture, construction, engineering, or interior design.
